Cracker Barrel Opens New Store in Columbus

Columbus, Miss., JULY 27, 2015 – Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® will open a new location Monday, July 27th, at 6 a.m. in Columbus. The new store is located at 592 18th Ave. North off of Highway 82 near the intersection of 18th Ave. North and 6th Street North, and will be open Sunday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. The 10,000 square-foot store is the 13th store in Mississippi and brings approximately 200 jobs to the area.

Aaron Jenkins has been named general manager. Jenkins, who began his Cracker Barrel career three years ago, is a native of the Golden Triangle area and a member of the East Columbus Lions Club.

“We are excited to bring Cracker Barrel to Columbus and become a part of my unique hometown," Jenkins said. “We’re looking forward to offering local residents the great food and friendly service our guests have come to expect from Cracker Barrel.”

At Cracker Barrel, breakfast is available all day with lunch and dinner options beginning at 11 a.m. Cracker Barrel serves home-style meals prepared from scratch like homemade chicken n’ dumplins and also offers Wholesome Fixin’s, classic country meals with a lighter twist – full of flavor and under 600 calories.
