Cracker Barrel Opens New Store in Morganton


Store employs approximately 185; ­Reed Mutzberg named General Manager

MORGANTON, N.C., JUNE 22, 2015Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® will open a new location Monday, June 22nd, at 6 a.m. in Morganton. The new store is located at 135 Bush Drive off of I-40 at Exit 105 and will be open Sunday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. The 9,900 square-foot store is the 39th store in North Carolina and brings approximately 185 jobs to the area. The store will feature a layout different than other Cracker Barrel stores that will help the store team to more efficiently deliver the great food and friendly service Cracker Barrel guests have come to expect. Guests will find the same menu and retail merchandise they love in this store and will still see original pieces of Americana and genuine artifacts on display.

Reed Mutzberg, who began his Cracker Barrel career eight years ago, has been named general manager.

At Cracker Barrel, breakfast is available all day with lunch and dinner options beginning at 11 a.m. Cracker Barrel serves home-style meals prepared from scratch like homemade chicken n’ dumplins and also offers Wholesome Fixin’s, classic country meals with a lighter twist – full of flavor and under 600 calories.

Each Cracker Barrel location is uniquely decorated with real American artifacts, memorabilia and signage collected by a team of Americana experts.
